Jim
Jim Romeyn has been involved in the computer industry since
1984. While attending Douglas College in 1985, he started
his first computer retail business, and soon formed a successful
partnership with his older brother, Al. The business grew
and prospered for the following ten years, and was awarded
with the prestige of being named the 2nd fastest growing
company in B.C., by Profit Magazine. In 1995, Jim and his
brother agreed to part ways, and Jim branched off on a new
adventure.
Jim
started a company that would sell and repair used computers,
and he called it SanderMax. The business has flourished
and grown ever since, and has adapted to the changing market
trends. SanderMax quickly found a niche in the corporate
IT market, and has not looked back since. Jim was very honored
to receive the 2006 Small Business of the Year Award from
the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce. Jim looks forward
to serving his community, both corporately and personally,
for many years to come. Jim and his wife Amanda are raising
three sons and three daughters in Murrayville. |

Amanda
Amanda is our copy editor and marketing consultant. She majored in English & Psychology at Capilano College and Simon Fraser University. Growing up in North Vancouver, her Dad was a journeyman printer for Pacific Press, so her fascination with language, and how it affects people, began at an early age. Amanda and Jim live in historic Murrayville, where she is an active mom to their six children.

Mike
Mike Garcia is our Service Manager. He joined SanderMax in
2001 as a junior technician, and impressed his prospective
employer by actually offering to work for free, for the first
month! That enthusiasm and work ethic has continued, and has
enabled Mike to become a very valuable part of the SanderMax
team.(although now we do pay him!) As Service Manager, he
leads the team of talented technicians, and is always ready
to work alongside them, and come up with solutions to the
daily challenges of the service department. In his spare time,
Mike likes to play rugby and hockey, and grow wasabi. Sushi
anyone?

Joel
Joel is our import from the south. He was born in Chicago,
and moved with his parents to Canada at a young age. He and
Jim met each other not long after that, and spent a couple
of years together in high school, and subsequently graduated
together. Some of Joel’s first experiences with computers
and the internet were with Jim. His tasks range from answering
the many telephone calls to repairing PCs … never a
dull moment!
Married with children, Joel is very much
a family man. His free time is spent with them, as well
as playing in a band with some friends. Of course he also
tries to find a bit of time in there to spend on his own
computer!Joel is excited about being
part of this vibrant, growing company, and is looking forward
to the future with great optimism! On a regular basis, he
can be heard remarking to Jim, “Have I told you I
love my job?!" |

Kilian
Kilian is one of our most experienced technicians. With the encouragement of his father, he began fixing computers when he was in his early teens. This gave him plenty of practical experience and the inspiration to further his studies, and he then achieved his A+ certification at the young age of seventeen. He is a serious yet comical addition to the SanderMAX team, and brings with him a determination to offer the highest quality customer service and advice. Kilian has the valuable balance of formal training along with practical experience, from his years of working with people and technology. In his spare time, he likes to snowboard, rollerblade and study.

He is a cheerful and energetic addition to the team. Mats has quickly learned how to do things "the SanderMax way," and is already an indispensible member of our staff.
His talent & interest in computers and technology is also balanced by his love for the outdoors. He enjoys fishing and outdoor adventures on the West Coast, with his wife, Marita
